Well I leave the Philippines August 1st, when I get home the first thing I am doing (aside from sleeping after 25 hours of traveling) is building my new gaming rig.
I have two weeks off when I return, which will be filled with tubing on the speed boat in the lake near my home (mass), eating copious amounts of Chinese food, and of course massive lan parties involving Sins of a Solar Empire - Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - WC3:FT (Tower D is my favorite mod type) - Probably replay VtM:Bloodlines for the umpteenth time - Try out Crysis with my suped up machine... And also, relax, lots and lots of relaxation after this insane business trip of 6 months.
The new computer is going to comprise of (for those interested)
E8400 Intel Wolfdale dual core 3.0 gHz (6 mb cache and sse4 w00t) xfx nvidia 780i SLI chipset (black and green mobo, sweet) 4 gigs of GSkill ddr2 800 ram A nice new cooler master real power pro 550w 80plus psu And to top off that new hardware a new 19" ViewSonic super high res 2ms monitor (1680x1050 - 22" res)
That is being paired with my existing nvidia 8800 GT OC, Antec 900 case, x-fi sound card, and various WD HDDs.
Im looking at getting a nice bluray dvd player (for the comp) as i can just hook it directly to my HD tv with a dvi-hdmi converter cable and get 1080i videos to play from there, plus I could use my 5.1 surround with the x-fi for movies which rocks.

Good luck in your studies. I'll be working at a community college teaching and prepping labs, doing threatened species surveys for bats, going to the Eastern Sierras for my one year wedding anniversary, going to Oregon for the Shakespeare Festival, getting my dive certification, and planning a trip for Xmas to Puerto Rico. Hmm, I should probably mention something Mud related Okay, I'm hoping to find time, motivation, and the general chutzpah to get me some coding learnin'.
No idea what sort of accent that should be read in.

Oooooh, monster rig! It's always fun busting out the most advanced game on the market and watching it perform flawlessly on a new box. Gonna slip a second 8800 in there for SLI?
Heh, thanks. I'll need the luck. You seem to have an incredibly packed summer. I wish I could say I had all that to do. Say "hi" to Sasquatch for me when you're on that anniv... wait nevermind. If you meet Sasquatch, that might ruin it. If you do see him, don't blame me! Don't forget to pack a little smarm with that chutzpa!
Man, I got overloaded with homework, and despite working on it for hours all day, I still have a bunch left. and it's due at noon, plus a test tomorrow. Yech! I can't wait til tomorrow night. Peace, quiet, and intoxication.
Same as usual

Had a great time in the Sierras, thanks for the wishes Ssol. Never saw Big Foot, but I did have a Ricky raccoon that hung out on our cabin porch begging for food every night-needless to say he got fed. (Bad bad biologist!)
So how's the homework going? Hopefully you're finishing up your summer session here pretty soon, or already done. What's your major btw?
I hope everyone else is having a decent summer. I've substituted cats for kids, Zeta, they don't require nearly as much clean up duty :)

Oops, hit the post button too quickly, meant to skip a line or two and add something to the effect of "welcome back, Minori, glad to hear oyu and Ricky had fun together. ;)"

Agreed. I have four cats, I don't want to imagine how much 'fun' four children would be to keep an eye on... Yeah, I'll stick with cats myself for another five to ten years I believe.
