Something like that could work in a place like the MU*Wiki. Perhaps little crossover RP things in the Wiki forums. Worth thinking about.

I really like this idea and I've seen it attempted before in a broad sense. There was this Wiki -- when I found it, it was pretty much dead -- that had started to worldbuild and such and to begin to make free fictional settings in science fiction and fantasy and, I don't know, alternate history and such and had the tools to create even more projects and it seemed like a really cool idea. It had nothing to do with Mu*s, but if you wanted to use the settings created there you could.
But, it was underdeveloped and dead and I assume it's still dead today.
I second that it's definitely possible over at the MU*Wiki. If people wanted to get together and brainstorm and start a project to build a setting I think it'd be cool. If you really think outside of the box -- picture this, a world (could be sci-fi or fantasy or whatever) with two types of war, a literal war with combat and a war of politics. Here are sister Mu*s! Maybe a crew builds some sort stat based MUD with combat code and such and hold wars there and on the other MU*, the war is fought with words through complex RP -- probably a MUSH or something - as that's what I'd prefer. Things done on one game would affect the other, possibly. Say alliances are forged on the MUSH, then things shift on the MUD and forces are brought together and new enemies are fought and whatnot.
All the theme could be developed, which would probably take some time, while the MU*s are coded -- the MUD will probably take longer since the MUSH won't need a ton of code or building. We could do it all over at MU*Wiki.
